Oct. 21st-Oct. 24th

Dear Grade 6 community,

Students in Grade 6 have been working hard on completing their first Novel Study. Some students have moved on from the comprehension activities to the extending project. Please ask your child if they are making a board game, mobile or movie poster as an expression of their learning progress and creativity.

Next week on Thursday (Oct.  24th) we will have a celebration of learning complete with project presentation (AKA class party). You are very welcome to come in and participate! Please stop by after 1:05 if you are able.

Students are welcome to bring a snack item to share. Please no pop. Students are also asked to dress up in costumes representing their favourite character from the book (mandatory).

Please look at this list of materials I am searching for to supply our games. If you happen to have any of these things in the house please consider sharing them.

Materials Needed: Rolls of streamers, a few bags of mini M&M’s, plastic diving rings (to be returned), round serving boards or cutting boards (to be returned).

Cheers,

Ms. Froyland

Class/Individual Photos:

For picture day, students need to be in uniform, with a sweater, vest, or navy hoodie as well.

If student forgets or doesn’t own a navy blue item, it’d be great if they could borrow from a friend for their individual picture, but for the group picture, we’ll just do the best we can.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead is not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
