Good afternoon,
Enjoy your day off tomorrow class! If you are curious about what I will be doing while the students play you can find me at school. I am working on learning more about ways to assess student learning under the new ministry guidelines, responding to anaphylaxis emergency situations and crafting a professional growth plan for the year. Hopefully I will have a pile of marked work to pass back on Monday morning too.
Have a safe weekend!

Orange Shirt Day (Sept. 30th):
All students are invited to wear Orange Shirts on September 30th joining children across Canada remembering that every child matters! I have a link you can follow if you would like to learn more about this important national initiative.
https://www.cbc.ca/kidscbc2/the-feed/what-is-orange-shirt-day
*Any orange shirt is fine. If you would like to purchase a shirt to support local efforts of this initiative you can find them at the STÓ:LŌ GIFT SHOP.
*Students not participating will be required to wear school uniform.
Toonies for Terry (September 26th):
On this day, we ask students to bring in a toonie and spend some time walking or running around the field to honor this national icon. Students will wear PE strip to run.
I would love a few parent volunteers to bring in orange slices to share with our runners after we participate in the run! Please email if you are able to help. We do have nut allergies to be aware of when preparing food to share.
